Combining Goju-Ryu’s teachings, along with the teachings of the other instructors and Masters who we have trained under have influenced our style of Karate, and given our students a unique advantage.

This variation of Goju-Ryu gives our students not only a solid foundation in Karate-do but also the versatility gained by knowing several styles. Our students understand the tremendous value in knowing how styles differ in their techniques but are yet the same, and how various techniques from different styles increase in power when they are combined.

The students at the Double Dragon Karate Institute use traditional Goju-Ryu with the advances designed into Sansei Goju-Ryu created by Grandmaster Arthur DeBuc as a foundation for Double Dragon Goju-Ryu Karate-do. We have blended our knowledge of martial arts delicately into Goju-Ryu and named it Double Dragon Goju-Ryu Karate-do, initially recognized as Double Dragon GojuUSA, not to be mistaken with USA-Goju under Supreme Grandmaster Peter Urban, who is also in our lineage.

This is also the case with other instructors in the family of Goju-Ryu Karate. Our variation of the Goju-Ryu style makes our masters extremely versatile and they follow the pattern of Masters of all who allowed their style to grow and not to stagnate.
